Ms. Monahan is an assistant professor and the director of the RN/B.S.N. program in the Department of Nursing. A graduate of The Christ Hospital School of Nursing, she holds an M.S.N. in Nursing Administration and Business from the University of Akron and a B.S.N. from Edgecliff College/Xavier University.

Professor Monahan has been a registered nurse for 35 years, a career that has spanned many changes within the health care arena. Her work has taken her from the bedside, to leadership positions, to executive leadership positions, and back to the bedside.

In addition to teaching the RN's returning to college for their B.S.N. degrees, Professor Monahan practices clinically at a local hospital. Her research interests are leadership, organizational behavior and educational mobility for the registered nurse.
